Come on, there are about 4.4 billion tons of Helium produced every second in the sun...if we can't mine some of that, then we don't deserve helium.
I'm gonna fill my balloons with Hydrogen - which works just as good (except for the hyper-combustible drawback). You'll have to leave your pipe (and spark plugs) at home, Ryan.

I think the Olympic committee should allow Pistorius to compete, with the understanding that any runner should feel free to use the 'blades' if they so desire. I mean, it's not like drinking water before a run gives an athlete a competitive advantage, becuase every athlete is entitled to the same thing. So why not tell all the athletes: "You are welcome to use your inferior limbs, or you are well within your rights to have them amputated in favor of blades". This might actually get more people to watch the Olympics this year.

It might have the unfortunate side effect of discouraging generations of future Olympians...

Thank you for introducing me to xkcd. http://xkcd.com/284 reminded me of my first job - Menard's.

You're welcome. I think XKCD is about as good as it gets, personally. The perfect mix of geeky and human.
