    This was a great stroll down memory boulevard. I, too, remember God being a friend for me when I was a young lad. In early elementary school he was someone to keep me company when the other kids were 'persecuting' me. I like your analogy of calling him a "superhero" - very fitting.

    So, evidently there was a time when you thought God 'took requests' when you wanted miracles. Did you ever pray for a specific miracle (I mean, besides the temporary gender-reassignment)?
